Sternoclavicular Joint Injuries: At the other end of the clavicle, the sternoclavicular joint connects the clavicle and sternum. With trauma, this joint, one of the least frequently injured in the body, dislocates forward (clavicle in front of sterum) about twenty times more commonly than posteriorly (clavicle behind sternum).
